An ancient mulberry tree overhangs this attractive farmhouse in the heart of Andalucia only an hour’s drive from the coast and situated amidst breathtaking scenery. Rarely does one find a property where so much thought has been invested so meticulously - the interior design and furnishings, the garden and pool areas and the wonderfully spacious living areas are all finished to an extremely high standard whilst maintaining the feeling of a warm and welcoming home.

The well-equipped kitchen in the main house is a joy in which to create delicious dinners, served at the table in the impressive double height dining hall where a large open fireplace casts its flickering light. Sweeping staircases lead up to a sitting room whose lovely warm wooden floors and open fire create a cosy atmosphere and from which one can look across the valley to Ronda. Opposite, the luxurious and stylish master bedroom has a roll top bath and every little detail of luxury has been considered from superb linen to fluffy towels and the very best toiletries.

Amongst the outbuildings one finds another kitchen, a games room with billiards, table football and table tennis as well as a home cinema - great for family groups with teenagers or fathers wishing to relive their youth! Each of the bedrooms here has been individually styled with excellent en suite facilities and soft colours and most have a private terrace. Opposite the main house the vine terrace provides shady tranquillity for breakfast whilst another covered terrace above the beautiful infinity pool is ideal for long, relaxed lunches.

Terraced gardens surround the property, planted with lavender, rosemary, thyme, palm and olive trees and a variety of fruit trees and of course, the mulberry! The organic vegetable and fruit produce is available to guests if lucky enough to be in the right season.  There is also a Bodega which is stocked with a selection of unusual Spanish wines and sherry which is available for guests to purchase during their stay. Up behind the main house is the fabulous and romantic ‘Alberca’ - a traditional water reservoir serving as ‘plunge pool’, decorated with colourful mosaics and fed by a natural spring - handy for those exponents of the early morning dip as well as being the perfect setting for the  early evening sundowner.

Not only is this house a fabulous venue for a relaxing summer holiday it is also a superb winter retreat with full central heating, double glazed windows with shutters and all of these open fires. Taken as a whole it is ideal for a large group but it is also a charming property for smaller groups out of the main season. There is a wealth of things to do in the area be it walking, riding, visiting historical sites or simply visiting the many ‘White’ villages of the area and investigating numerous tapas bars. Alternatively, guests may prefer to relax by the pools and enjoy the charm and comfort of the house in its delightful atmosphere, looking out across a scenery full of possibilities.
