The house has been lovingly and meticulously restored to an extremely high standard, in a contemporary and minimalist style. The owners have combined the best of modern living with contemporary decoration to create a fusion of homely beauty with their modern-art-dealer tastes. Olive trees, orange groves, lavender and rosemary provide the natural habitat in which to perfectly blend architectural terracing and a dark water swimming pool. The garden has been landscaped with a great deal of care and attention - the pool is set up on a terrace to create the least impact on the environment and a couple of shady areas have been laid out with cushions and chairs to provide quiet spots with pretty views.

Entering directly into the open-plan reception room, one is struck by the amazing view opposite, through five sets of French windows, out over the terrace to the sea beyond. This large terrace stretches the whole length of the house and has been cleverly laid out with a sitting area and dining table - all in well-crafted wood with white cushions. Aromatic candles together with the excellent sound system create a wonderfully warm ambience in this truly stylish home. Upstairs, bedrooms are plain, cool white and the bathrooms are fitted in Travertine Marble with stainless steel designer taps to create calming and peaceful suites.

The thriving village of S’Alqueria Blanca is only a kilometre away from the house and easy walking distance to the café, the newspaper shop, excellent tapas bar, superb Italian restaurant and many other local facilities.

The pretty pine-backed, sandy cove of Cala Mondrago is just five minutes’ drive down a country lane and one can always walk around the headland in either direction if it is absolutely necessary to have a beach entirely to oneself! The little harbour of Porto Petro is just ten minutes’ away and here one will find numerous quayside cafés and restaurants. There are boats for hire to explore those coves unreachable by foot or take the boat trip to the bird sanctuary island of Cabrera and spend the day ‘a la Gerald Durrell’.
