Repandum Zingoni, Val d'Orcia, Tuscany, Italy

With magnificent views over the Val d'Orcia and fabulous al fresco dining area, Repandum Zingoni is set within 30 acres of private woodland and has been creatively restored and decorated by a well-known interior designer from Rome.

Anyone who enjoys al fresco dining and mind-blowing views will love Repandum Zingoni! The extended vine covered pergola on the stone pavement in front of the property is the perfect venue for long lunches after a morning by the deep infinity pool where there is even another pergola as well as changing room and fridge for keeping one's wine chilled! Just as well, as the pool lies below the house with 74 steps leading down to the pool area, something to bare in mind if you have little ones with you.

Repandum Zingoni, like Gargaricus Palazzolaccio next door, commands a fabulous position in the Val d'Orcia and the same owner/interior designer has created another masterpiece of style combining rustic charm with interior chic.  Beyond the pool there is even a shaded picnic area (above) which, typically, is equally simple yet chic.

Inside, the country style kitchen is quite small but superbly equipped with large stone counter top, American fridge and separate freezer and everything required for aficionados of cooking. There is even a vegetable and flower garden with delicious fresh produce from which to create a sumptuous al fresco lunch.

Throughout the house, there are gorgeous old cotta tiles and wooden beams and original features such as the stone fireplace in the living room. Colourful fabrics and a clever mix of old and contemporary furnishings help create a fabulously warm home.

The property is situated close to the market town of Sarteano and just a short drive away are the hilltop villages of Pienza and Montelpuciano with plenty of restaurants and opportunites for wine tasting. The Val d'Orcia is a stunning area to explore be it driving, cycling or on foot. Relaxing at the villa however, is hard to match and most guests find it hard to draw themselves away! Very popular indeed, Reandum Zingoni gets booked well in advance.
