It is not only the beautiful views across the Val D’Orcia which sets Karataviense Riposo apart from other Tuscan houses but the beautiful interiors make the house unique. Restored to the very highest of standards by a well-renowned Italian interior designer, this property provides guests with a really characterful and luxurious home.

Each bedroom is furnished with comfort in mind, with beautifully chosen coloured fabrics, specially designed beds and bathrooms en suite. Every detail has been considered be it the fabric colours, the tasteful lighting or the floor tiles. A traditionally styled and well equipped country kitchen sets the scene for many happy meals, served in the inside or outside dining areas and upstairs there is a second kitchen adjoining the delightful sitting/dining room with huge stone fireplace where large groups can benefit from yet more space to 'spread out'.

Outside, guests can enjoy warm, balmy summer evenings by taking advantage of the built in barbecue and ancient brick oven for cooking pizzas, roast meats or grilled peppers and aubergines fresh from the market. In addition there is a delightful pergola where one can enjoy aperitivi as one gazes across the mesmerising scenery of the Val d'Orcia and the 'crete'.

The large heated swimming pool is ideal for serious swimmers and for guests staying at the villa earlier or later in the season who enjoy swimming in the cooler months. Alternatively, one can relax after a day's walking or sightseeing in the hot tub with a glass of chilled vino. Nearby are the numerous delightful towns of Southern Tuscany such as Pienza, Montalcino and Cetona for those who wish to explore the area but you may find that once you are at Karataviense Riposo you won't wish to go anywhere at all!
