High in the Var, amid the bubbling spring waters of Bargemon, this beautifully renovated seventeenth century olive mill nestles in a tranquil hilltop position.

The sunlight-dappled town square of medieval Bargemon, with its many restaurants, sits amid woodland and olive groves, just a few minutes away from Moulin San Peyre. The position leaves nothing wanting with the hustle and bustle of the Riviera only 40 minutes away.

Moulin San Peyre retains much that was original inside and out, including the stones and wheel gears in the spacious sitting room, providing a delightful and interesting feature. There is another set of mill workings in one of the bedrooms! Throughout there is a great feeling of space - this house can easily accommodate 2-4 families - and it has been modernised as much as possible whilst preserving its immense character. Outside, the mill race and wheel remain and a bubbling stream runs alongside, forming a small moat between the house and the landscaped gardens.

Fig and walnut trees lead down to the pool and pool house - a wonderful spot for outdoor dining, equipped with BBQ and fridge - the centre for daytime relaxation. From here, the view back past the mill encompasses the foothills of Clavier and Callas and the mountains of the Haut Var and beyond.
