The property has been immaculately restored preserving original features such as fireplaces and floors and the very best furnishings and designs have been introduced to create stylish and luxurious rooms throughout without detracting from the surrounding natural beauty and environment.

I Casali di Monticchio has only eight suites and two bedrooms (each with its own name such as Gli Angeli or Il Giardino delle Farfalle) so numbers are limited and guests are really able to enjoy the feeling of a home. Most of the suites have their own kitchen, living room with fireplace and private garden; each of the bedrooms is individually furnished with the very best fabrics and soothing colours and all the bathrooms are spacious and tastefully designed. The villa is the focal point of the borgo and upstairs, where the original kitchen used to be, is a large and remarkable salon with restored original fireplace. Downstairs is the elegant restaurant where guests may enjoy delicious, refined cuisine in a relaxing environment after perhaps a game of billiards in the hall next door! 

 There are cookery courses available at I Casali di Monticchio and the property produces it own organic produce including wine, olive oil and honey from its farm. The surrounding area is fabulous for those guests who enjoy walking and one can return to the pool, perfectly situated for gazing at the rolling Tuscan and Umbrian hills beyond. Nearby one is spoilt for choice for places to visit: Orvieto, San Casciano dei Bagni, Cetona, Pienza and Montepulciano are all within easy driving distance and a little further are Siena, Arezzo and Perugia.
