The beautiful surrounding Provencal countryside is perfect for guests who love outdoor living in an unspoilt area. With its large swimming pool, tennis court, large covered barbecue and lawn extending towards an unspoilt view of the Luberon National Park, this property offers visitors plenty to do and one can even enjoy a ten minute stroll through part of the property’s 80 acres of grounds to its own small lake – perfect for relaxing, reading, painting and birdwatching.

Inside, the style of the house is rustic with beamed ceilings, a large working fireplace and furnishings which have been carefully chosen in keeping with the style of the property.  Downstairs, the three spacious bedrooms with their own bathrooms and French windows onto terraces are ideal for three couples; whilst the four twin bedrooms upstairs are most suitable for children, but can also be made up as six foot double beds.

Within close proximity of the house there is lots to see and do. Forcalquier is a pretty market town where one can go horse riding, cycling and hot-air ballooning and down the road is St Michel with the Observatoire de Haute-Provence. (Here, in the 30’s, it was discovered that the area of Forcalquier has a microclimate with clear skies for most of the year making it even more attractive to visitors from the cold!). There is a busy market every Monday morning in the town, displaying all kinds of wares.

Private catering can be arranged for lunches and dinners, and babysitting is also available. For keen tennis players, Blagayana Cannebieres can arrange for a local tennis pro to visit the property for coaching or simply to be a hitting partner. There is an English speaking guardian resident in a separate cottage in the grounds on hand for any advice or to solve any problems.

Blagayana Cannebieres is also a fantastic property to visit in the winter as well as the summer and perfect for Christmas and New Year with its log fires and cosy candlelit atmosphere in the winter evenings. Skiing is available a mere 1.5 hours away at Vars and Risoul.
