Versicolor Talamonaccio, Tuscany, Italy

Perched on a cliff overlooking the sea, Talamonaccio presides over the coast it defended as a Spanish Fort. Great fun and suitable for heroes and villains alike, this villa features in the new James Bond film, Quantum of Solace

Situated in its own litle estate on a peninsula close to the beautiful Maremma National Park, Versicolor Talamonaccio was originally built by the Spanish to defend the coast of Tuscany against Saracen invaders. Since those days, the property underwent significant restoration in order to transform it into a private villa and you may have seen it feature in the new James Bond film Quantum of Solace.

The living room upstairs commands breathtaking 180o views to Porto Santo Stefano and the hills of the Argentario Peninsula on one side, Talamone and the Uccelina Natural Park on the other. The islands of Giglio, Giannutri and Montecristo are off shore, adding drama to the already beautiful sunsets over the sea. Completely refurbished after the film crew moved out the main living room, tastefully furnished, comprises sitting and dining rooms with fireplace at one end and sofas and at the other. Huge picture windows face the terrace and tower and french windows lead out to this central platform.

A private path leads down to the sea where there is a sunbathing deck and private boat docking - well, no secret agent should be without! Private motorboats can be arranged from here - over to the islands and the Argentario peninsula, to drop in on the rest of the world. There is a long sandy beach where the more active may enjoy windsurfing or sailing and for those interested in exploring the local area, visits to local wineries at Siena, Pitigliano and Florence can be arranged.

There is an excellent cook service available and all modern facilities, complete privacy, water access and stunning views.
