C’an Verdera is a wonderful conversion of two 150-year-old townhouses in the centre of Fornalutx, one of Spain’s prettiest villages. The front door leads straight out into one of the narrow lanes and the village has some very charming restaurants and bars in squares and on pavements creating a very relaxing atmosphere. Soller is just a 20-minute stroll through the citrus groves along the valley and taxis are easily hired for the return leg - very convenient, especially after supper!

Italian in design, the hotel is furnished in contemporary fashion and its light, clean spaces feature a collection of modern art supplied by the well-known gallery Sala Pelaries. The wonderfully situated pool commands beautiful views of the valley from its terrace and the Morrocan terrace is planted with palms and has a cool grotto where one can shower during the heat of the day. C’an Verdera’s restaurant is above the pool under a vine covered terrace and its superb menu features only fresh local produce.

Each room is individually decorated. Suites, Junior Suites and the Penthouse Suite all have bathrooms and sitting roms and the Penthouse, which covers the top floor o the property, has a private terrace and the most well appointed jacuzzi on Mallorca!

Days are spent strolling around the narrow lanes of the village, or into Soller and down to Porto Soller on the tram. Alternatively, relax by the pool and read in the cool of the grotto. The C’an Verdera offers everything one could wish for in a Mallorcan holiday.
