Dubrovnik & Korcula
Dubrovnik proved to be interesting. The old city, ocean, accommodations (walk able to town), and climate. The hotel was very nice. Found their prices to be much like the other places in town to eat and drink… Our drive to Korcula was most worthwhile. Stopping at the restaurant was excellent and our boat trip to the island was very nice. Met at the dock by GM of hotel. Short walk to reception and onto our suite. Lovely hotel. Very accommodating to our needs for extra sightseeing…arranged a private guide, car, and tour of the island….and a sailing day to a town north for a wonderful lunch and back to our harbor (full day).
People here continue to ask me why Croatia and I always say, you have to go and experience it.
Our W. Med cruise was fine. Never really worried about the portion of the trip you planned and as usual it went off without a hitch and was more than our expectations. For those who know of you, all is say is, Tim planned this portion, and they all know what I am talking about…first class and no bumps in the road. Many thanks for your efforts and I hope we are able to do something like this again.

Laragai House, Borana, Kenya
Dear Tim
Many thanks for your message and so sorry I’ve not been in contact, things have been hectic as per usual since the boys return.
With regards to Laragai the boys had a wonderful time, I really can’t thank you enough for you time, effort and professionalism. I’ve yet to see the photos but am told that for some of the guys it was a holiday of a lifetime.
The accommodation worked out well, most of the group had not met previously so we were a little apprehensive but they all bonded and friendships were formed.
Steve was impressed with Laragai and mentioned the staff were excellent. I understand the flight connections ran smoothly. All in all a great success.
Kind regards

St Andrews & Gleneagles Hotels
Hello, Tim.
Our trip to Scotland was superb. The pick up at the airport was prefer and the drive to The Old Course Hotel went well. Our accommodations were outstanding…the rooms (suites) had seating areas, two toilets, and fresh flowers and the best…it overlooked the 17th fairway. What a great stay. We play St. Andrews and could not have had a better time. Our two caddies were named John, also, so we had a foursome of four John’s. we watched the Masters Golf tournament from our room and did room service, could not have been better. The hotel was light on guest and we had extra attention.
The drive to Gleneagles was uneventful and we arrived in time for a quick fish and chips at a small fishing village. Accommodations were up to par and the hotel is magnificent. It was spring break for schools and there were many families staying there during our visit. had good food and a great stay. Our golf was just as imagined…very nice. The weather was brisk, overcast, and some misty…we both enjoyed that for a change. Our weather has been warm and sunny for the most part.
Great trips and I wish to say thanks for all your help. We are in Ireland and are traveling today from Killarney to Dublin by train and back to the U.S. on Tuesday.
Talk with you soon…the next trip is just ahead.
Many thanks and kindest regards,
John
1.8.08 Spooneri Lucertola
Hello Kate
We did indeed have a wonderful time at Spooneri Lucertola. The villa itself was magnificent and the setting spectacular. The holiday - which was to celebrate my father's 70th birthday - really went very well.
A degree of its success was due to the Ed Finlay and Becca Dixon, who were fantastic hosts. The food was excellent (and plentiful) and they were more than helpful. Can you please pass on my appreciation to the owners - they should know that they have employed two very capable, charming and obliging hosts.
Also, thanks very much for the flowers which greeted us on our return to London. A very nice touch. It has been a pleasure dealing with your company and I shall recommend it most highly to friends and colleagues.
Many Thanks
Ben

29.9.08 Assoanus Moran
Dear Kate,
Thank you, we had a wonderful holiday. The house was perfect for us and the manager Joce was brilliant and took care of everything really well. I would also recommend Lucy Verney the cook to anyone. Thank you for all your help and I hope that the owners will find everything to their satisfaction.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Aparna
30.7.08 Coccinea Flamingo
Dear Tim
Thank you so much for the beautiful flowers. They certainly cheered us up after our return from such a wonderful holiday! Coccinea Flamingo was as restful and stunning as last year and Mary looked after us brilliantly. Our teenagers spent quite a few evenings sampling the nightlife of Bodrum and the set up worked well for all age groups.
We are already thinking about returning next year!
Many thanks once again for all your help.
Regards
Nicky
4.6.08 Alpinum Trappola
To All at Global Artichoke.
Thank you first for the beautiful flowers that arrived today (perfect as we just returned from a couple of extra days in Rome!). They are lovely.
Regarding the Alpinum Trappola. We thought it was fantastic. It just suited us perfectly. The house itself was the perfect balance of tasteful and interesting but not precious or stuffy. The gardens were lovely and the whole beach thing was fabulous. We were so pleased with the bicycles and the outdoor aspect to the trip - and would really recommend this to other families. The pool is just ok we thought but it didn't matter to us because the beach was so amazing, we could hardly drag the children away!
We visited Castiglione della Pescaia for lunch and an amble one day, and Saturnia for the hot springs as a day trip. Both lovely. Other than that we just loafed around the house. The owner was lovely, very discreet and we found both the cleaning lady and the cook very pleasant (just a note, the cook is very much a home cook, very tasty but nothing fancy, which suited us but worth knowing in case people expect great gourmet feasts).
So all in a great holiday for us. Somewhere both families voted as a candidate for a return trip!
Thank you again. Do call me or email me if you have any questions.
Best regards
Deborah
3.6.08 Repandum Zingoni
Dear Tim,
We absolutely loved Repandum Zingoni and the magical experience that we had there! The location of the villa is spectacular, with 180º views over the Val d’Orcia, and it is particularly well run, with Graziella’s competent anticipation of our every need. Graziella cooked us two dinners (absolutely excellent), and she assisted John Bird with giving us a cookery lesson in the kitchen – this was deeply enjoyed by the whole family! And John’s advice as to what to see in the region was much appreciated.
We are now back in Johannesburg, so our 3 week “holiday of a lifetime” in Italy has come to an end – but we will be back!
Thank you very much for your involvement in our booking – everything was perfect!
Many thanks and kind regards,
Heather
