Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is set in the heart of a mahogany forest, and is the only lodge in the diverse Lake Manyara National Park. From soaring groundwater forests and a tranquil lake, to the mountain escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, the park boasts an incredible wealth of habitat and diverse wildlife. Guests are offered an exciting, interpretive safari experience in game-rich surroundings which include large herds of elephant and buffalo as well as the park’s famous tree-climbing lions.

Highly skilled guides will lead you on interpretive game-drives in open 4x4 vehicles and due to the Lodge’s secluded location, you will meet noone, allowing for leisurely tracking of predators and uninterrupted viewing of flocks of pelicans and flamingoes on the lake. With three hundred and eighty-seven different bird species recorded here, the diversity in terrain and wealth of game and predators, there is no more intense and varied a safari experience in Tanzania.

Cradled in the boughs of mahogany trees, ten stilted tree house suites are created from a sophisticated blend of chic romantic style and rustic indigenous touches in leafy surroundings. Crafted from local timber and makuti, the treehouses are discreetly tucked away in close proximity to the exquisite soda lake.

Each tree house suite has large windows inviting the lush forest inside. The classically elegant rooms are fitted with contemporary furnishings in neutral colours and textures and bedrooms have overhead fans, mosquito nets and earthy, understated features.

Overlooking a forest boma, the soaring lodge building houses Dodoma Art and an open kitchen allows guests to watch the preparation of delicious Pan-African cuisine - enjoyed in the boma, on the dining deck, or on your own private deck with spectacular forest views.
