It offers a wide range of landscape from tropical rainforest to white and volcanic sand beaches, the towering Pitons or lava cones and St Lucia’s ‘walk-in’ volcano, the Soufrière.

One of the oldest and most established resorts on St Lucia, East Winds Inn is set amongst twelve acres of lush tropical gardens separated only by golden sand from one of the most pristine bays on the island. Sitting next to the azure waters of La Brelotte Bay, guests watch the humming birds and mangrove cuckoos playing in the tropical gardens and are lulled gently into very Caribbean relaxation.

Whilst nature does its work, one savours award-winning local and international cuisine in the open-air dining room, the Flamboyant Room. Jazz at the Bamboo Lounge or a glass of something exotic at the Almond Tree Bar all help ease one into life in the Caribbean.

Relaxing by the pool or on the beach with a good book, can be punctuated by the odd spot of activity, of course. The crystal water beckons for swimming and kayaking and there is great snorkelling out on the reef, so that guests can work up a healthy appetite for the chef’s attention later.
