On a terrace below the house, there is a magnificent, infinity-edge swimming pool with self-contained pool house where guests may happily laze away the sun-drenched hours, punctuating them with cool drinks or a stroll down the cliff path to the villa’s private beach. The villa residents are invited to the exclusive beach club at Cala Piccola - roughly five minutes’ walk away -  where serious sun-worshippers drift between the sun-loungers and restaurant. From here one can also rent a small boat to explore the fascinating Monte Argentario coastline.

The villa is on two floors with two of the bedrooms below, facing west across the water. Above is an extremely well-equipped kitchen and a spacious open-plan dining and living room. There are three further bedrooms in a garden house,  recently restored and combining traditional styles with contemporary flourishes - iron beds and antique furniture - and modern facilities to add comfort in the shape of air-conditioning and minibar.
