On the edge of a mountain ridge with magnificent views across the Mediterranean to the north, this property is really superbly placed to appreciate the majesty of Corsica. Looking north along the peaks of Cap Corse which are the beginnings of the mountains which rise to the dramatic Cortenais to the south and then slowly subside until, in Sardinia, the hills serve only as a faint reminder of this spectacular scenery.

Pelargoniums Pinarella is a pleasingly designed granite house, extremely stylish in its simplicity - uncluttered yet comfortably furnished. Sofas surround the open fireplace in the sitting room; perfect for late evenings after dining al fresco in the loggia. Tiled floors and thick stone walls are welcome in the heat of summer and work to such effect that air-conditioning is unnecessary - a real blessing - and every modern convenience is on hand to ease things along.

Amidst wonderful semi-tropical planting, set slightly away from the villa on the edge of the ridge, the large pool and terrace are suspended over a breathtaking view to Cap Corse and in the other direction, over Monticello.

From this luxurious perch it is easy to encompass all the promise of the surrounding island from Monticello and L’Ile Rousse just around the corner to the GR20 rising up behind the villa and running the length of the island.

Pelargoniums Pinarella tempts guests to stay, drinking in the view and relaxing by the pool whilst spreading at one’s feet a view of the surrounding island which beckons for exploration. This is a fabulous spot for a Corsican holiday and we certainly felt like pioneering adventurers ourselves whilst sipping a glass of wine on the terrace, watching the sun set over the hills.
